Höegh Fleet Services
Höegh Fleet Services (HFS) is responsible for the ship management of vessels owned by Höegh including technical management, crewing and newbuilding projects. Ship management is an integrated part of the total product delivered to customers by Höegh Autoliners and Höegh LNG. HFS aims to provide cost efficient, environmentally sound and high quality services with a long-term perspective, high technical skills, safety awareness and continuous learning. HFS operates out of offices in Norway (Oslo), the UK (London), China (Quanzhou) and the Philippines (Manila).

Vision
HFS' vision is to provide long-term ship management solutions. Our objective is to be a core activity for Höegh, and an integrated part of the services delivered by Höegh Autoliners and Höegh LNG.

Environment
HFS is committed to minimising the impact on the environment from its vessels.

International and national legislation and guidelines for the protection of the environment form the basis of our environmental policy. HFS is taking active measures to seek out new technologies and methods to go beyond the requirements. Environmental objectives and targets are planned annually. Potential risks, incidents and near incidents are systematically evaluated.

Environmental responsibilities and tasks are defined and communicated throughout the organisation. HFS trains all employees so that they understand the implications of the environmental policy. HFS continuously evaluates the need for resources and personnel to ensure that the policy is followed.

Ship management
HFS manages a fleet of car carriers and LNG vessels, and supervises a number of newbuildings. The vessels trade worldwide.

HFS employs about 1 500 seafarers. The company is focused on recruiting the best possible staff to ensure a high performance level of the vessels. Training of HFS' seafarers is a continuous process ashore and on board.

Ashore HFS employs around 127 people. In Oslo, they consist of a staff of experienced ship managers, technical and nautical superintendents, purchasers, crewing managers and accountants. The company also has a Safety & Quality department, and the support of modern IT systems.

Newbuildings
Currently HFS is responsible for the project management and supervision of the following newbuildings:

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, South Korea

2 x Pure Car Truck Carriers with capacity 7300 CEU (car equivalent units). Delivery November 2009 & February 2010

Vinashin/Nam Trieu Shipyard, Vietnam

4 x Pure Car Truck Carriers with capacity 7000 ceu (car equivalent units). Delivery 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard, Vietnam

Elongation of 8 car carriers. Last vessel to be completed within May 2009.

Xiamen Shipbuilding Industri Co. Ltd., China

4 x Pure Car Truck Carriers with capacity 4900 CEU (car equivalent units). Delivery 2010 and 2011.
