Höegh Fleet Services
Höegh Fleet Services (HFS) is responsible for the ship management of vessels owned by Höegh including technical management, crewing and newbuilding projects. Ship management is an integrated part of the total product delivered to customers by Höegh Autoliners. HFS aims to provide cost efficient, environmentally sound and high quality services with a long-term perspective, high technical skills, safety awareness and continuous learning. HFS operates out of offices in Norway (Oslo), China (Quanzhou) and the Philippines (Manila).
Mandate
Höegh Fleet Services AS (HFS) shall provide effective, sustainable ship management at the lowest possible cost with zero harm to people and minimum environmental footprint. Support to the commercial operation shall always have our attention.

Effective sustainable ship management means that we prioritise our resources where they give the best return according to our long term operational needs. All our employees should always have the commercial operation in mind when carrying out their daily tasks.

International and national legislation and guidelines form the basis of our work. We believe accidents can be prevented by building a company culture which reinforces safety awareness among our employees.
A key driver for our employees is an increased focus on - and necessity for - taking responsibility for the environment in which we operate. Our commitment goes beyond international rules and regulations. Our main environmental challenge is emissions to air. To meet this challenge, we primarily focus our environmental efforts on reducing our vessels’ fuel consumption. Other focus areas are ballast water management, green recycling of old ships and waste stream management.
We strive to retain a workforce which is characterised by dedicated and skilled employees, continuous learning and a positive mindset towards new challenges. We educate all employees to understand the implications of this policy.
Ship management
HFS manages a fleet of car carriers and supervises a number of newbuildings. The vessels trade worldwide.
HFS employs about 850 seafarers. The company is focused on recruiting the best possible staff to ensure a high performance level of the vessels. Training of HFS' seafarers is a continuous process ashore and on board.
Ashore HFS employs around 85 people. In Oslo, they consist of a staff of experienced ship managers, technical and nautical superintendents, purchasers, crewing managers and accountants. The company also has a HSSEQ department, and the support of modern IT systems.
