The Høegh family has been involved in maritime transportation since the delivery of the first vessel, the crude carrier Varg, in 1927. Through decades shipping expertise has been accumulated through ownership and operation in many different shipping segments. Building on a vast base of know-how and experience shipping interests are now focused in two segments, the transportation of Roll-On Roll-Off (Ro/Ro) cargoes and Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).
Leif Höegh & Co is the brand name for the holding company of the shipping activities. Höegh Autoliners is a global operator of Ro/Ro vessels (car carriers) with leading car manufacturers among its demanding customers. Höegh LNG has more than 30 years experience in the transportation of LNG on long-term contracts with leading energy companies, and is building on this experience when developing innovative and technologically advanced solutions to bring shipping of LNG one step further. Höegh Fleet Services is responsible for the technical management, crewing, safety and quality of the owned fleet.
