Arctic LNG Shuttle™
redseparator460.

The Arctic LNG Shuttle (ALS) concept is under development by HLNG in collaboration with LMG Marin. The ALS is designed to transport LNG through areas with severe ice, such as the Russian Arctic. The most robust model in the ALS range has the capability to operate independently (without ice breaker escort) in up to 3.0 meter nominal ice thickness as well as in multi year ice with ridges and glacial inclusions.

Main parameters for the Arctic LNG Shuttle:
* Length 200 m
* Breadth (water line) 28 m
* Draft (max) 9 m
* Cargo capacity 40.000 m3

Other important features/systems studied in connection with the Arctic LNG Shuttle:
* System for loading in ice
* System for discharge to offshore transshipment terminal (floating or gravity based)
* Winterization features
* Lifeboat arrangement and Emergency escape system
