The buoy is an integrated single point mooring system and the SRV shall be able to connect with the buoy in up to 6 metres (20 ft) significant wave height. The system is designed to weathervane and send-out natural gas in up to 11 metres (33 ft) significant wave height. The system will make use of the Submerged Turret Loading or STL turret mooring and transfer system designed by APL - Advanced Production Loading - of Norway. The technology has proved its reliability through many years of nearly un-interupted operation in the North Sea in extremely harsh weather conditions.
