Höegh LNG early saw the need for developing alternative LNG receiving terminal solutions based on floating offshore structures. The Neptune Project is the first project making use of the SRV technology.
In order to build on this experience and in order to pursue this strategy to the fullest extent, i.e. being able to offer our customers a complete service consisting of transportation, regasification, terminal access and market access, Höegh LNG in mid 2005 set up its own Höegh Deep Water Port Project, where the company currently is developing several offshore projects in the Atlantic basin.
